WELCOME
Welcome to the the website of the Biggin Hill Romania Group where you will find information on the Foundations for Life Centre built two years ago in Comanesti, N.E. Romania. This website shows the project from start to current use . The FFLC was built on the floor above the Robert Cole Centre-another of the charity's projects, which opened in 1996. The RCC is a daycare centre for children with special needs attending from Kindergarten up to year 8. Students graduating from the RCC continue their education in the premises above their former classrooms.

MEDICAL CENTRE
The charity are currently raising £25,000 to renovate the wing opposite the Foundations for Life Centre to become a medical centre for the local community. There is so much unwanted disability and medical equipment just dumped or stashed in peoples garages. Can you ask your local disability shop to pass unwanted items onto you that people bring in? 'Freecycle' is another great web resource for seeking out equipment that can be used in the centres in Romania. For assistance with collections and deliveries please 'contact us'.

MINI BUS
Our Poole contiguency are busy fundraising £12,000 to replace the very worn out mini bus which collects around 100 children a day to attend the Robert Cole Centre. To receive news of the fundraising events being held and to keep in touch about other news and projects please 'contact us' and we'll add you to our e-mailout.

CHRISTMAS SHOEBOXES AND DELIVERY
Well, it won't be long before we need to collect in your lovingly prepared Christmas shoeboxes for distribution during the first two weeks of December. If you would like to make a child very happy this Christmas by providing perhaps the only gift they will receive please refer to the 'how you can help' page for more details. Additionally, you may like to be one of the volunteers this year who spends a week in Romania having the pleasure of handing them all out! If so please 'contact us'.
